Well, we had our first rainy day, January 20: cloudy, late afternoon, and temperatures dipping to under 60 degrees. Note that yards here, like ours in the downtown apartment, have no grass. Does that mean this is a picture of Desert Storm?
"Dress Matters" is the featured exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art through Feb. 18. The exhibition guide states: "The way we dress shapes the persona we present to the world. Through our dress we communicate everything from our gender and cultural identity to our religious beliefs and values. The clothing we wear shapes how we think about ourselves. It can make us feel powerful and attractive, or the opposite. Certain articles of clothing carry strong emotional associations and powerful memories. For all these reasons, clothing is an extension of ourselves; and the stories that clothes tell about us are varied ad rich."
